☁️ Backing up your data
Squawk can automatically back up your vocabulary, grids, and settings to your own private iCloud account. Turn it on (or check when your last backup ran) from Settings → iCloud Backup. If you're setting up Squawk on a new device, it'll offer to restore your existing backup the first time it opens.
🔗 Sharing & importing grids
Every grid can be shared as a self-contained file, symbol art
included, from the Grid Library. To bring a grid
someone shared with you into Squawk, use Import in
the same screen and pick the file. Squawk also reads standard
Open Board Format files (.obf / .obz), so
boards from other AAC apps and libraries generally work too.
🔒 Parental Controls
A PIN-protected Parental Controls screen (under Settings) lets you restrict access to grid editing and hide specific features like the Whiteboard or Type-to-Speak, if that's useful for your family.
🎨 Customizing the look
Settings → Appearance has several built-in themes, a fully custom color option, and a Match System setting that follows your device's light/dark mode automatically.
